upstairs neighbors is a Seattle-based passion project formed as the world began reopening in 2020. Deeply rooted in acoustic mid-century modern jazz, with a love of deep-cuts and a pension for composing in the tradition, but with modern lyrics and themes. Melodic, swinging, hard bop, fronted by Mariia Pozhar's vocals and Karl Ronning's trumpet.
